7 months

I know, I know. I'm behind again. It's just so hard to sit down at the computer anymore. I'm so busy playing and getting around the house. Surgery, what surgery. I have recovered like it was nothing. I was back to my normal self the next day. Didn't even need that silly pain medicine. I had a fiberglass cast that Mommy, Daddy, Grandma, Pop, Bubbie, Pop-Pop, and Uncle Paul all signed. I got to stay home with Mommy for 3 days while "recovering" April 2 Mommy let me start vegetables. Sweet potatoes. I really wasn't too happy about them. On April 10th I had my 6 month check up. I was 17lbs 11 oz (with my cast) and 28 inches long. The doctor was surprised with how well I was developing. I could already sit up unsupported and roll all over the place. I love to say Ba. But still won't say Mama or Dada. I grow every day. I can now sit up all by myself, and can army crawl and get faster every day. If I didn't have the cast I could crawl even faster. On April 17th I had my post op and am now sporting a bright blue cast. Mommy took pictures of the pin in my foot. It's really cool. Over the last week or so I am now starting to like really like my food. Mommy has started packing me lunch for school. I have had sweet potatoes, peas, carrots, apples, pears, avocados, yogurt, lemon, oranges, and of course rice cereal and oatmeal. Oh and I love Baby Mum Mums and Gerber puffs. Mommy makes most of my food. YUMMY:) I can't wait to try more. She made me peaches and broccoli the other day, they look good. I had class pictures last week, and Mommy is anxious to see how they turn out. I love school. I like to play with my friends and my teachers. I go and get the toys myself and I share with friends. I like to put everything in my mouth, so if I'm going to share with you, then that's where I will put the toy in your mouth:) This morning I gave Mommy a kiss when she left for work. It made her really happy. Today Daddy saw that my FOURTH tooth came in. I'm growing and changing every day. I'll ask Mommy to help me upload pictures soon.

My surgery

Hey there everyone! I'm back at my Bubbie and Pop-Pop's house. What a day I have had. I didn't have a very good night sleep. I just was fussy and crying with my eyes closed. My teeth hurt. Then at 5:45am Daddy woke me up so that I could eat breakfast. I wasn't too excited about having to get up that early. Then Daddy gave me a bath. He took off my cast and let me had a nice bath. Then I had to go to the hospital. I told everyone that I was starting to get hungry. They made me where a hospital gown. Luckily I have a diaper or else everyone would have seem my little butt:) I played with Mommy and Daddy and some of my toys. The nurses set up Shreck just for me. I wasn't really into it too much because I was getting really hungry. At 10 after 10 the anesthesologist walked me back into the OR to see my doctor. Then I went to sleep and they put an IV in my hand. A few hours later I woke up and WOW was I hungry. They let Mommy come back so that I could eat. The doctor showed Mommy pictures of my foot. They put a pin in my foot, and they lengthened the tendons in the front of my foot and the back of my foot. They then put me in a really cool cast. Mommy says that my friends can sign my cast. After a few hours they gave me some medicine and told me I could go home. I'm home now and a little sleepy. Guess what the nurses gave me. Apple juice. Wow that was really yummy, I've never had that before. Mommy says that I'm not allowed to drink lots of juice, but that I'm allowed to today. Ok, time for a little nap.

6 months old

Everyone, even Daddy has told me that I really really really need to update my blog. I have been a very busy guy. I am 6 months old today. I am growing and learning every day. I had celebrated my first St. Patrick's Day and my first Easter. I have two teeth on the bottom and am now working on getting teeth on the top. I have eaten rice cereal and oatmeal too. Mommy is going to let me start with real food this week. I think I will ask her to start with sweet potatoes, they look yummy. I can sit up now and play. I am only one of two kids in my daycare class that can do that. I love playing with toys. I really want to crawl, but I can't because of the cast on my leg. My left foot is all better and normal. I had casts, then the brace and then cast again on my right leg. Tomorrow is my surgery. Mommy and Daddy seem worried about this, but I still play and dance like nothing has changed. I don't like the letter M as much now and I like B and D. I want to say Dada. I got my pictures taken yesterday. I was silly and didn't want to show off my big smile, but they got it anyway. Mommy is working on updating my photobucket site. Well I know this is short, but I will update more after my surgery, I'm getting sleepy. Goodnight!

4 1/2 months

I'm getting to be such a big boy now. Let's see, what's been going on for the last month. Mommy still isn't back in her regular suite yet, and they told her last week that it will be another 12 weeks! She's still working in another suite, so she's keeping busy with her work. Daddy has had lots of silly hours at work so sometimes we get to spend special time together in the morning, and then I have special time will just Mommy at night. Sometimes I want to see Mommy and Daddy together. I am learning new things all the time. I can roll over and over and over and over. I love to play with toys. I am working on new sounds and really want to talk. I like to say M and B. I said Mama and Mom, but I don't know why. Uncle Paul taught me to say "Blah" I have two buttom teeth that are coming in. Sometimes they really really hurt and I let Mommy and Daddy know about it. I still don't sleep through the night and sometimes I want to see Mommy every 2 hours again like when I was a little baby. Mommy and Daddy were happy I went back to sleeping longer. I go to sleep a little earlier now so that I can wake up and play with Mommy and Daddy before they go to work. On Jan. 30 I had my 4 month check up. I am 15 lbs 3 oz. and 27 inches long! I am a long skinny boy:) On Feb. 7 I went to see Dr. A. my bone doctor. He took more pictures of my feet. My left foot is normal. I don't need to wear the brace anymore and it doesn't look like I will need to have any surgery. My right foot still has the brace. Starting in the beginning of March I have to have casts again. Then on March 31 I will have surgery on my right foot. Then I'll have a cast for 4-6 weeks. Then I will get another brace. Mommy says that once I get that brace if the doctor says it's ok, then Mommy is going to sign me up for swimming lessons. This past month I also celebrated Pop-Pop's birthday, went to my friend Desiree's birthday party, and celebrated valentine's Day. I exchanged gifts with my very first valentine Laura in MI. She gave me a hand made blanket (her Mommy helped her make it) and a bumble bee teether. Mommy and Daddy gave me a microphone just like Daddy uses at work. I can record my voice singing. Mommy and Daddy took me to get my pictures taken this month took. They dressed me up like a churub, I'm not sure about this. Time for dinner. Oh Mommy and I updated my whole photobucket. 15 weeks old

I am growing bigger and bigger every day. Daddy weighed me the other day and says I'm about 15 lbs. I'm getting very tall. I am wearing 3-6 month clothes, so I'm right on track. They fit me in length, but they are sometimes big in the tummy. I am starting to do more. I really like sitting up, and try to pull myself up. I like to sit in my bumbo seat. I like to play with toys and put everything in my mouth. My mouth hurts sometimes because I am getting something that Mommy and Daddy call teeth. I'm not sure what they are for yet, but I will learn. I drool a lot and Mommy and Daddy make me wear bibs, they whip my face with them, so I do that now too. I can take my pacifier out of my mouth and sometimes I can get it back in, but sometimes I just play with it. I had an interesting week. Mommy's work was closed on Monday because of something called a water main break. So we stayed home and played. Mommy worked from home some this week and I did go to daycare to play with my friends. On Thursday Mommy's computer stopped working and she had to fix it. I helped her and made sure that none of my pictures or work went missing. On Thursday I went to see my orthopedist. My casts are off and I only have braces now. It's great. Mommy and Daddy can take them off and stretch my feet. I can have real baths now too. And guess what I did on Friday, I rolled over from my tummy to my back while in my crib. Mommy and Daddy were so excited, but I don't want to go it again right now. For the last week I have been a big boy and Mommy and Daddy moved me into my room in my crib. I love having more room to spread out when I sleep, and Mommy and Daddy are just a cry away. Yesterday Bubbie and Pop-Pop came to visit me. I showed them how much I like to play. Today Mommy and Daddy set up my exersaucer. Wow it has so much for me to do, I haven't even tried it all yet. Uncle Paul came over on his way back from Pittsburgh to have dinner with us. We went to a place that had a big football game on. The TV screens were gigantic. I asked Daddy if we could have one in our house just like that:)
Something I had forgotten about in my last post was that on Dec. 15th I went to see the Maryland Symphony Orchestra for the first time. Uncle Paul and his choir were singing Christmas music. I really liked listening to the pretty music.
Well I'd better start to get ready for bedtime. Tonight I will get in my PJs have a story, eat, and then go to sleep in my big crib. Mommy says that she will help me update my pictures soon. She doesn't know what work will be like this week. Goodnight.

3 months old

I have been so very busy. I'm 3 months old now. Let's see, last time blogged my Daddy was taking care of me while Mommy went to work. That was just so much fun. Daddy and I are best buddies. Then both Mommy and Daddy went back to work and Grandma and Pop came up from FL to stay with me. We played, took naps, and got ready for the holidays. I also got to go to some really cool parties. I went to a Children's Party at Daddy's work and got to see Santa Claus. Then at Mommy's office Christmas party I saw Santa again (that man is everywhere, it's amazing) We also had a holiday party with Daddy's department from work. I like to go to parties they are lots of fun. On Sat. Dec. 22 we celebrated Christmas with Grandma and Pop. I like opening presents. I got some neat toys including a toolbox, a leap frog caterpillar, and maracas. I ended up getting the same maracas from Bubbie and Pop-Pop, so I exchanged them for a drum. Bubbie and Pop-Pop also got me a guitar. I'm ready for my own band. On Dec. 23 I drove to Pittsburgh with Mommy and Daddy. I got to see Great Grandma and Great Grandpa. I got to meet Great Aunt Kitty, Great Uncle Les, cousin (first cousin once removed) Colleen, Great Aunt Libby, Great Uncle Paul, cousins (yep more first cousins once removed) Quinn and Shannon. Great Aunt Kitty, Great Uncle Les and Colleen live in Missouri. Great Aunt Libby, Great Uncle Paul, Quinn and Shannon live all the way in New Zealand. Maybe one day I'll get to go there. Daddy says that if so we could go to where Lord of the Rings was filmed. He says that when I get bigger I will like that movie, but right now it is too long and scary for me. Later that day we drove to Washington, PA and I got to meet Great Aunt Cyndy, Ron, cousin (first cousin once removed) Lori, Bryan, and cousin (second cousin) Julian. We had a yummy meal and had lots of fun. Christmas eve was really fun. We had our big holiday meal, played cranium, and then opened our gifts. I got some clothes, a need book from New Zealand and a stuffed animal that I will be able to use to learn how to button, snap, tie shoes, all of the important things for when I get bigger. I didn't want to go to sleep that night. I was so excited to see Santa. Christmas morning I woke up to find out that Santa filled up my stocking with all kinds of fun things including some new pacifiers. Santa brought me some books, and mirror that plays music, and I can plug my ipod into to listen to different music, and my glow in the dark pacifiers that I asked for. He also left me a note saying that he also left some presents at my house in Hagerstown. He said that he got confused. Silly Santa. Then we went and I met my first cousin once removed Scott and his girlfriend Dani. They have drums and a piano at their house too, but it is a lot bigger than mine, and I don't think they teach them the alphabet:) Then we went back home. Santa had brought me more presents. He brought me the Leap Frog Brightlings Station I asked for. It's really cool. I also got presents from Mommy, Daddy, Bubbie, Pop-Pop and Uncle Paul. I got some more clothes, books, a vibration unit for my crib, a leap frog learning tad, Baby Einstein dvds, and more. I haven't even used everything yet. Bubbie took care of me on the 26th and 27th and then on the 28th Pop-Pop came out to. We had lots of fun. We had a quite weekend and Mommy and Daddy took me shopping to return/exchange some of our duplicate gifts. Mommy and Daddy are so silly. They actually bought each other two of the same gifts. On Dec. 31 Mommy and Daddy went to work and guess who took care of me Uncle Paul. We had a great day. I think I got his used to changing poppy diapers:) Mommy and I went to bed early that night and I didn't see the ball drop. On Jan. 1 Mommy and Daddy had colds so they just rested a lot, I liked that. On Jan. 2 I started at daycare. I really like. I get to play with other babies including my friend Mason. When Mommy picks me up I make sure to talk to her and tell her all about my day. Ok, I'm getting a little hungry, time for dinner. Mommy is going to update the photobucket site this weekend. Now that things have slowed down I'm going to update here more frequently.

2 months old

What a week. I spent the week with Daddy because Mommy went back to work. We had so much fun playing and reading stories. I started to really play with my play gym this week. Daddy got it on video and here it is:

Daddy took me to have lunch with Mommy every day. I really liked seeing Mommy and everyone she works with. Mommy saw lots of babies this week and says that even though some were one month old, they were smaller than me when I was born:) On Thursday I got new casts again. This time Daddy took off my casts at Mommy's work. Mommy weighed me without the casts and I am up to 13 lbs 5 oz. I saw a new orthopedist this week because my regular doctor's wife had a baby. I'll see this new doctor next week too and then I'm back to seeing my regular doctor. On Friday my second cousin, Charles, was born. I'm not the only boy now. Since I'm older than him, I'll have to help him with the world outside of our Mommy's tummies.
Saturday was the holiday party for Mommy's work. I had so much fun. I was one of four babies there. Santa Claus came to the party. He say and danced with the big kids and babies and brought us all presents. Today we went shopping. I love spending time with Mommy and Daddy. Ok, time to hang out in my swing.
